WARRANTY INFORMATION
We offer a limited lifetime guarantee on all our jewelry against manufacturing defects and workmanship. The warranty becomes void if the product has been subjected to misuse or has been altered by anyone other than an authorized Giliarto representative.
We are happy to repair your ring if needed at any point in time. Repairs may be subject to fees depending on the nature of the work. We do not cover lost, or stolen items or normal wear and tear of a piece. Wearing a ring or any piece of jewelry over months, years, and decades incurs normal wear and tear, and this level of wear is assumed.
Below are some examples of common repairs due to normal wear and tear, accidents, or negligence that would not be covered under warranty: Worn-down prongs requiring resetting, resulting in loss of stones Loosened or shifted prongs due to snagging or bumping, or simply from wear over time Worn-down or misshapen shank or band due to wear Bent settings due to accidents or negligence Stained or discolored stones due to contact, with solutions including lotions, perfumes, soaps, cleaners, chemicals, etc. Cracked, chipped, or cracked stones due to wear & tear or accidents For those situations not related to manufacturing defects, we strongly recommend purchasing your own insurance. Wear/fade/scratches of black or white rhodium/PVD coating: re-plating fee will be applied. Jewelry is commonly insured as a rider on your homeowner's or renter's policy, or via separate companies like Jeweler's Mutual. An insurance policy can protect against loss, theft, and possibly damage due to wear.
Our dedicated Quality Assurance Team inspects every item before shipment to ensure that you receive a high quality piece. In the rare event that your item has a defect, please contact a customer service representative +1 800 442 7170, and we'd be happy to assist you in getting your item repaired. Please include your order number and contact information in your communications with us.
Exclusions from our warranty for common jewelry issues include:
- 1. Discoloration resulting from contact with chemicals, cosmetics, swimming pools, hot tubs, or bathing.
- 2. Over time, prongs and precious metals may wear down, potentially requiring "re-tipping" or repairs due to normal wear and tear.
- 3. Prongs that are bent, jammed, or worn can cause gemstones to become loose or fall out, often due to normal wear and tear or accidental damage.
- 4. Loss of gemstones or gemstones falling out due to fractures or breaks caused by normal wear and tear or damage.
- 5. Any issues arising from repairs, modifications, or other services performed by anyone other than (brand name).
- 6. Dents, notches, and scratches that occur through regular wear are inevitable and are not considered defects.
- 7. All metals can discolor over time, especially when exposed to substances such as perfume, salt air, sulfur, skincare products, hair spray, chlorine, and acidic skin pH levels. The rate of discoloration (oxidation) depends on individual skin chemistry and jewelry care practices. Discoloration due to these factors is not covered under this warranty.
Please note that slight irregularities and variations in craftsmanship, as well as natural characteristics or inclusions in colored gemstones, are inherent to each piece. These features contribute to the unique beauty of the gem and should not be seen as defects. Additionally, due to natural variations and differences in computer displays, your jewelry may appear slightly different in person than it does online.
- The customer will be responsible for any shipping charges related to a warranty repair.
- We reserve the right to void the warranty on any item that shows signs of modification, abuse or damage beyond normal wear, as deemed by our jewelry professionals.
- We will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Jewelry Coverage Advisory
Although we provide a lifetime warranty, it's essential to note that we do not provide jewelry insurance. Our warranty does not extend to the loss or theft of jewelry, nor does it cover any damages such as chipped, broken, or damaged diamonds or gemstones.
For your peace of mind, we strongly advise considering the addition of your valuable jewelry to your renter's or homeowner's insurance policy. This way, you can ensure proper protection and coverage in case of unforeseen events.
